A few piano pictures here before the pictures of the new kitties, Inky & Pearl. Some reverse karma happened when my friend Cynthia's husband Bill called out of the blue. He said he was looking for a home for two kitties and did I know of anyone who might want them...well, he must have caught me at just the right moment because I considered keeping them ourselves. They were the right colors (black for RC, gray for me), they were two kitties who were used to each other, were adults and were used to living with a big dog. And Bill's mother had passed away and they were her kitties.
I remembered that nearly 12 years ago, I had gone to visit a friend who had just had a baby...she started feeling nervous about the baby being around her cat, so she banished the cat to the basement. When I came to visit to see the new baby, I felt sorry for the cat and brought it back to Indianapolis (the friend lived in Michigan at the time). I already had 2 cats but Cynthia & Bill took in Kate (formerly Allie) and now she happily resides with them on Woodruff Place (with several other cats and dogs).
Alas, we now are the proud owners of Inky and Pearl (formerly Miss Kitty). They have integrated into our family quite nicely (for the most part). Inky is de-clawed and lets Rachel Claire play with her (most of the time) and Pearl has claws and has a personality like my old Sophie. They have been a nice addition to the family (other than the $$$ vet bill and a bit of misbehavior on the carpet in the basement). And Rachel Claire is so proud of having cats, she nicely plays with them which is great until someone accidentally gets sat or stepped on! :-)
Ok, this is a terrible picture from my phone, but I kept trying to get them together on the couch and as soon as I would pick up my camera, one would run away!
