Let me just say that other than the big snow storm that is projected to arrive here Monday night, I am ready for winter to be over. I definitely enjoy the snow (might as well have snow if its going to be winter) but otherwise, I'm feeling like a chubby, long-john wearing slug....and that time of the month doesn't help any either!
We have had lots of activities to keep us busy however, including two on Saturday and one today. Saturday morning we went to one of the classes at the Children's Museum which was about valentines. RC was a little grouchy in the morning (most of the weekend now that I think about it) but she rallied for this class. Its lots of fun and a good set up....and about half of the kids who were signed up, didn't show up! They're probably sick, a theme that we are luckily avoiding for now.
Saturday afternoon we went to the St. Richard's Ice Skating party. I made an attempt to get Rachel Claire on the ice but she wasn't very into it. Her skates were mighty cute though. And she could balance on them when she was on the floor. She didn't even like to be on the ice when I was carrying her, usually her favorite spot to be! Oh well.
Today we went to LeeLoo's birthday party....only poor LeeLoo, most of the kids who were scheduled to come were sick (see above)! So after a much needed nap, Rachel Claire and I made the journey down to Mooresville - yikes! LeeLoo's house is cool and it was good to see her, Karry and Cory, but its a bit out in the boonies! :-) Unfortunately I forgot my camera and had to take over Karry & Cory's, which means I'll have to wait a bit for them to send me the photos, and even then I'm not sure I'll be able to get them onto the blog...something about photos that other people send me don't seem to work. :-( The good news is that Rachel Claire was very good about playing nicely with LeeLoo and was also very gentle with LeeLoo's cool dalmations.
So, the only funny thing I can think to tell you about Rachel Claire recently (see above: grouchy all weekend) is that her new word is sure! As in, Rachel Claire, will you bring me the blah blah blah? Sure! Its pretty funny when she says it. That and Oh Man! a la Swiper on Dora...those are her two current favorite sayings.

Ok, so when we were on the ice, I couldn't get far enough away from RC to take a picture of her whole body...so I had to do it in two pieces!
