Ouch! No more shoveling!

Well, I have to admit its definitely nice to have a weekend in the middle of the week...even if it means I had to shovel snow 4 times in two days! We had a little blizzard here which meant Rachel Claire and I got to spend 2 days at home (with one job interview thrown in for good measure...)

So we hung out today and did some cooking, shoveling and of course the mandatory Dora watching...with a little Blues Clues thrown in (I think our visit to LeeLoo influenced that a bit). I must say Carson LOVES the snow! He rolls around in it and has a great time. Too bad the tennis balls are a little hard to find in the snow when he doesn't bring them back....

So, I must admit, this blog posting is mostly about snow, not so much about Rachel Claire, but that's what's been going on these days. Back to school tomorrow!

The chair with the tennis balls on it, on day 1

The car on day 1, I think this was after the first shoveling but also after some more snow fell...

You can't really tell how deep the snow is, but overall I think we got about 10-12 inches.

Rachel Claire wanted to clean off the snow from Carson with the kitchen hand towel....

Wearing my ear warmer!

Carson was my faithful companion when I was shoveling

See all the big piles of snow, that I had to remove from around my car, after the snow plows came by...

Its hard to get the perspective of how much snow this is from the photos!

The slide is pretty buried

This is what my car looked like this morning at 6:20 am when I started shoveling.....

Luckily it didn't look like this!

The entrance to our small side street, a big wall of snow from snow plows

The tennis ball chair on day 2, after being cleared of snow on day 1...

There's a layer of ice in between the two layers of snow, so Carson is often falling through a layer or two!
