This was Rachel Claire's second gymnastics meet and it was the first BIG one. In fact, it was at the Convention Center the weekend of the first Big Ten Football Championship at Lucas Oil...oy! Luckily her competition time was before it really got crazy downtown. The multi-talented Kathi Ridley helped with Rachel Claire's hair -- always a challenge for this mama.
At this meet Rachel did really well on beam (!) and vault. She and Josie tied for 8th on beam and as it turns out, this was the only meet all year that she did not fall off when doing her handstand on the beam. My pictures did not turn out too well but in the next post there will be some good ones taken by the professional photographers who were there...who unfortunately needed to change their photo card when my girl was doing her floor routine! :-(
