There is a wonderful Girl Scout Troop here in Indy started by some wise women who adopted kids from China long before I did. The Troop is made up of all girls adopted from China and in addition to the Girl Scout aspect of things, the Troop tries to incorporate learning about Chinese culture into its activities. It is also a great place for the girls to get together and get to know each other better and be with people who look like them and have similar stories.
Rachel Claire is finally old enough to join the troop and we went to the opening activity in August...it was quite hot but a good time was had by all -- especially eating the s'mores!
