At long last, Baby Oliver was born on 10-11-10...at first some were disappointed that he didn't arrive on 10-10-10, as his mom was definitely in labor on that day...but when he did finally arrive on 10-11-10, we realized that was when he was supposed to arrive...10 days after his dad's birthday, 10-1 and 10 days before his mom's birthday on 10-21...ahhh, what a cutie he is.
Rachel Claire is starting to get used to the fact that she is no longer the baby of the family and that lots of times people will crowd around Oliver and not her...but she's doing ok with it and as long as her cousin Emma is around to play with, she can usually deal with it pretty well. Rachel Claire herself likes to hold Oliver and does a great job holding him gently. Indeed, Oliver's dad, Uncle Chris, seems quite comfortable with him...something I did not expect...and had to work at myself with Rachel Claire arrived in my world.
We went for a quick visit to see Oliver when he was newly born (he's 4+ months old by now!) and we also celebrated Oliver's Mom's birthday (that would be Aunt Wei) with a scrumptious cake from my new favorite cake place, Classic Cakes! Since we're in Carmel two times a weekend, might as well make the best of it by getting yummy cakes there!
