This post is dedicated to one of my most ardent blog-readers...my pal Anne Valentine who, with her husband Gary, adopted baby Abby in December. I've been a big cheerleader during their adoption process so I was thrilled when it finally all worked out. They travelled to Kansas to get baby Abby and we get a chance to visit her on December 31 when we brought dinner and some gently-used hand-me-downs before we headed to the Butler game in some extremely chilly weather!
Rachel Claire was great with little Abby, wanting to hold her for quite some time -- which is more than we can say for Rachel Claire's mom, who is not very good with babies! :-) It was great to see Anne and Gary so happy and of course Abby was just perfect! Of course Rachel Claire was also happy to watch tv with Gary for a while so Jill & Anne could get caught up on all of the adoption details!
So glad to have you along on the parenthood ride Anne!
