1st phone call from a boy!

Ok, this was hilarious! Rachel Claire was in demand today. Just after we left for our errands this morning, Andy Parmelee's mom (Rachel Claire's BFF at school) called to say that Andy wanted to talk on the phone to Rachel Claire. When I got home from the grocery (without Rachel Claire, having dropped her off at Alex Teed's), I heard the message. So, in the same vein of staying occupied after an exhausting play date and no nap, we called Andy back when Rachel Claire got home. He wasn't there but I left a message. A while later Andy called back (he called, not his mom!) and asked for Rachel Claire. I put her on the phone and she could not stop smiling!! It was so cute. They had about a 5 minute conversation ending with, I'll have to ask my mom (I wish I heard that more often!). Apparently he had wanted Rachel Claire to come over for a play date today too...when it rains it pours! Hopefully we can get one figured out for another time. Watch out teen years -- here we come!
