We had a pretty good Labor Day weekend with a few minor hiccups. Saturday morning we started out by helping with our neighborhood clean up. We took the wagon, our gardening gloves, the wagon and a trash bag and picked up a full bag of trash in preparation for the home tour this Sunday, September 7 from noon to 6 pm. Come on out if you're interested, there are 10 groovy homes in Herron Morton to check out.
We had a wee bit of down time before a picnic with some other Indy single parents at Eagle Creek. Unfortunately that outing ended in a pretty serious meltdown which put a damper on the Fever game we went to that night...but it was fun and the Fever actually won!
Sunday was pretty mellow, with Chinese school followed by a trip to Target and then Holliday Park with LeeLoo.
Monday was an awesome day with a fun trip to the JCC pool with the Teeds. It was a great last day of summer -- sunny, hot, and hanging out at the pool with friends. Rachel Claire (and Alex) even slid down the water slide which for a girl who doesn't like to get her face wet was amazing!
And yes, RC fell asleep on the way home from the pool and basically slept for the next 13.5 hours, whew! Why doesn't she do that on weekends????????????
We missed the first boat ride because we had to make a trip to the bathroom...

Oh yeah, we went to Ava's for a play date on Sunday morning, and this was the best picture I could get of the two of them...
According to LeeLoo, Rachel Claire was very brave to go on the slide, the rock wall and all of the ladders at the playground...
But they both had fun on the swings, even though Rachel Claire looks like she's taking a nap...
