Friday night football!

For years I've wanted to go to a football game at my high school (the venerable Walnut Hills High School, 83rd best public high school in the country!). And the first game is always against Purcell Marian, the school of some of my friends from HS. But I never could get it together to figure out when it was or talk my HS buddy, Jason, into going with me. This year, the planets aligned for me to get it on the calendar and talk Jason into coming with us -- yay!

So we went on Friday night and it was pretty fun! It was quite hot, and crowded, and we only stayed for the first half, but in the end, Walnut Hills won their first game in several years! We never were very good in HS but when Jason and his pals played, they were at least over .500.

Hopefully this will be come a wee tradition in our household and we can stay longer next time and continue to bring the mighty Eagles some good luck. And Jason & Rachel Claire had a great time playing together too! Its nice to have someone big and strong to carry the small fry who doesn't like to walk, particularly in a crowd full of oblivious teens!
