Chinese New Year

You're probably wondering why my college friend Tom and his daughters are the first photo in a post titled Chinese New Year...well, no good reason really. Tom's wife Liz, also a college friend, sent some photos from the Father Daughter dance and I thought they were so cute! So here they are: Bridgette, Tom and Ava Singer.

Meanwhile, there are some photos of the one Chinese New Year event we made it to this year (we missed one because we just had too much going on). This was a whole day event (started at 2 pm, went through 9 pm ~ wonderful crafts put together by Robin Wise, aka, craft queen!) and we had several ups and downs...but we made it through the first half of the evening's show which was spectacular (didn't think it would be appropriate to bring my flash camera but apparently it was ok). Rachel Claire looked adorable in her pink and yellow outfit from China that Grandma bought while we were there. It was so crowded that we really didn't get to play with our friends too much...maybe next year it will be easier to navigate and we'll be older and less prone to meltdowns. If anyone wants to join us, it's quite fun!
