It was a Princess Christmas

Rachel Claire has definitely transitioned from her Dora phase to her Princess phase. All during the Christmas season she would say, "Can I have a Princess xxxx (fill in the blank: money, umbrella, slippers, etc.)?" or "Can I ask Santa for a Princess xxxxx?" Luckily, Santa brought lots of Princess stuff: sheets, blanket, night light, puzzles, books, games, magnets, stickers, pens, coloring books, etc.). During our Christmas shopping forays, Rachel Claire would ask for lots of stuff but the beauty of being three is, I told her she could ask Santa for it but that we couldn't get it right now and that seemed to satisfy her. So then later she would just say, "Can I ask Santa for xxx?" and be happy when I told her she could! :-)

RC is even particular about her pull-ups which have princesses on them. In the package of pull-ups, there are two different designs, one has 3 princesses on it (Ariel, Belle & Cinderella) and the other design just has one princess on it (sometimes its Ariel, sometimes its Cinderella, I imagine that sometimes its Belle too but we haven't had that kind yet...). Rachel Claire is insistent that we use first all of the Three Princess Pull-ups before we use any of the pull-ups with single princesses on them. Actually she was reluctant to use the Ariel pull-ups at all but she seems to be pretty happy when we get the package with the Cinderella pull-ups in them because Cinderella seems to be her favorite princess.

One of the gifts that Rachel Claire got from me (in a big backpack full of stuff to do on the plane) was a search and find book with 10 different princesses in it...so we now know all of the Disney princesses and their stories - yay!

Luckily Rachel Claire liked her slippers even though they weren't princess slippers...
