Brunch with the Smiley Twins

We were so lucky that the Walnut Hills High School Class of 1987's 20 year reunion was on the same weekend as Rachel Claire's 3rd birthday party at the Grandma's - that way we could see the Smiley Twins and their parents (one of whom is a member of the WHHS Class of 1987)!

We tried to make the most of the weekend by having brunch with the Smileys before they came over to the Grandma's for the birthday party. It is fun to read the Smiley Twins blog but seeing them in person is awesome! They are pretty soon going to pass up Rachel Claire in size. Alex was having a lot of separation anxiety but Ella seemed to be doing pretty well hanging out with Grandpa and Suzanne.

Rachel, the smart one that she is, got matching outfits for Rachel Claire and Ella to wear for a group photo....boy, you talk about trying to get everyone to (1) look at the camera and (2) smile or at least stop crying with 2 one year olds and one 3 year old - yikes! I'm getting spoiled by Rachel Claire who can and will pose for the camera now. Needless to say, we had about 10 or 15 of the group shots and only a couple came out even half way decent! Rachel's always photogenic though!
