The Secret is Out!

So yes, I've been a total slacker on my blog lately!! So sorry faithful readers...you would think that the absence of paid employment would give one more time to do things like blog...au contraire, it makes one more panicked that one should be spending 24 hours a day looking for a job....oh well, its a long weekend so I can work on some blog things.

This is kind of a hodge podge blog, several photos that I did not take because I've been slacking in that area too.....so there is a picture of Bruce Owens, who just joined his forever family here in Indy but is originally from Kenya, and also a cute picture of Kale Pierce, singing in the rain. And some precious photos of our neighbor Lucy and Rachel Claire giggling at Lucy's house, taken by Lucy's dad Chad. And there are some cute photos taken by Grandma too! Oops, just realized they have already been on here once...see, that's how long it has been since I've blogged - ugh!

A few things to report about RC. She's recently been adding the word Pleeeeeease to the end of most of her requests, many of which I have no control over....like, I want a mochachino - pleeeeease! (of course we don't have a starbucks barista taking up residence in our house so there's no way I can meet that request), etc. etc. etc. While I am glad she is embracing proper manners, it is getting a little tiresome.

One funny thing that she does occasionally is after singing the ABCs or something similar, I (or someone else) will clap and say yay! And then Rachel Claire will say: thank you, thank you everybody! It is really funny.

Meanwhile, the secret is out about crafty moms! I am very insecure in this arena and there are several moms who I don't se often but whose craftiness intimidates me. How could anyone raise 2 or 3 kids and still be crafty!? Well, my mom just bought me a subscription to this where I discovered many of their crafty secrets!! :-) Who knew I could learn crafty from a magazine!

Ok, I'll try to get back to normal on my blogging and I'm also going to try to add some things to the sidebars for your enjoyment as well. Cheerio - enjoy this glorious Labor Day weekend.

Bruce is the smiling one on the left...I can't wait to meet him in person!

Kale - he is precious!

RC's favorite cousin Emma, looking so peaceful here in her ballet clothes

Rachel Claire and Lucy - giggling

Chillin at the pool....where she is more confident and enjoying herself these days

Listening to music at the Easley Winery with our pal Tammie

Look at my pretty hairbow that LeeLoo made for me (that I kept in for about an hour....)
