Becky brought the letters!

You're wondering what this seemly random phrase has to do with Rachel Claire! Well, in the bathtub tonight we had two moments to remember. The first was that we had a hairwashing with no tears! Its not our first one but you can definitely count on one hand the number of hair washes we've had with no tears. I was so excited! And the second memorable moment was when Rachel Claire looked up at the styrofoam letters that we really haven't played with in a while and said "Becky brought the letters!" which was kind of random because we haven't seen Becky in a while and I had no idea that Rachel Claire even remembered that Becky brought us those letters (it has been a while, like since before Christmas!).

In general Rachel Claire has been in good spirits lately. I have been trying to remember to savor these moments. Another thing that she's been doing lately is saying "Bye XXX" to everyone she can remember. All the time. The people she likes to talk about a lot are: Greg (Henneke, who came over a week ago Sunday), Tina, Becky, Tammie, Amy, Jenny (new gymnastics teacher). Some others get thrown in now and again.

I've even implemented a new rule this week (all food must be eaten at the table, I know, probably a given for most families) and RC has been generally amenable to it. Next month we're going to add that once you get up from the table, you're done with food...that might be a little harder but actually tonight she was pretty good about it. I am angst about pushing her to eat because I don't want eating to be a big power struggle and such but I am also wanting her to eat because she is so small and doesn't seem to eat that much.....

We definitely had a busy weekend of activities: gymnastics, a class at the Children's Museum, a trip to Josie's and then to the Big Ten Basketball Touranment (those photos will be later). We're both fighting some snifflys but it hasn't kept us down and out too much.

Rachel Claire finally understands the concept of WEARING the sunglasses to keep the sun out of her eyes!

Some cool drawings done by kids in the Children's Museum garden of glass for kids.

Check out these great photos of RC, Josie & Alivia, I was amazed they turned out this good!
