Ready, Set, Talk

I am so sorry you loyal blog readers....life has not allowed me to update in a while...primarily because I am on a job hunt! So if you have any ideas or want to see my resume, let me know!

I am also trying to stick with my new year's resolution of writing more anecdotes in the blog. So, I'll start with some of Rachel Claire's favorite sayings now (we're past the one word thing - yay!). When I first downloaded these photos (a while ago now), she was all about saying: ready, set, go! And running through the house. Then for a while her favorite saying was: stop it! We had to nip that in the bud. Now she's fond of saying: oh man! (a la a character in her favorite tv show - Swiper on Dora the Explorer). It sounds pretty funny coming from her.

Rachel Claire is also getting quite good at jumping up and down all through the house. She has also just recently been discharged from speech therapy, she is doing quite well in talking although there are definitely still times when I have no idea what she is talking about!

We recently had a visit from Dad and Wang Chun which was lovely. Wang Chun takes more photos than I do, if you can believe that...I hope to be getting some of those via email soon. Rachel Claire is doing really well with people she doesn't see very often (Dad & Wang Chun) and men (recent babysitters Jeff Sparks and Jeff Johanning). She usually doesn't care one bit if I leave her with a babysitter, as long as Dora is on.

We went to a great class at the Children's Museum about snow, there are photos here. And Rachel Claire loves to wear her snow boots - she has two different pairs, one stays on better than the other (because its the right size for right now). Slacker mom that I am haven't taken her out to play in the snow (although there really has only been one good day for that).

Also, Carson got a little sore place on his back and the vet told me to cut the hair around it...which you will see below. Later, after we went to the vet, they shaved it properly and gave us some medicine which is working nicely.

Not much else to report right now. I am hosting the salad course of our neighborhood progressive dinner this Saturday night (while RC is at Grandma's) and we will be excited to watch our beloved Colts in the Super Bowl on Sunday night - hope I can stay up!
