So I wasn't sure we would survive being together 24-7 for 10 straight days over the break, but indeed we did and while we were glad to get back to Tina's, we didn't kill each other and we actually had some pretty good sleep during that time. Right now RC is getting pretty good at sleeping until at least 7:30 and sometimes as late as 8:30 - yippee! That will come to a screeching halt for me next week when I go visit the Smiley Twins - which will be great fun but not a lot of sleep!
One of the other trends lately is Rachel Claire will want me to open the fridge, so she can stand in front of it and look to see what she wants to eat....can be very annoying, especially when she says no to everything I suggest, even things she likes and has eaten before. For the past 5 days or so, she's been eating sliced ham and cheese. Well, tonight, we were out of sliced ham. So I was hoping to prevent a tantrum which often occurs when she asks for something we don't have (apples, green bean casserole), I decided to make something I know she likes and just serve it to her before she got hungry enough to go look in the fridge. So I whipped up two scrambled eggs with cheese, which she usually loves....and of course I can't stand them. And one of the other trends is that she wants to eat whatever is on my plate - which would have been a great strategy if I liked eggs. So of course, she takes about 3 bites of eggs and then tells me she really wants the tuna noodle casserole that I am eating that she spit out last night...ugh. So, we have leftover eggs that hopefully she'll eat some other night....
This first bunch of photos is from Monday, New Year's Day, morning...I often let RC roam around in her jammies for a while, and she will often get out her princess outfit from our neighborhood babysitter Becky and put it on....and of course usually the camera is downstairs. But as luck would have it, we ventured downstairs with the outfit on so you can see how cute it looks, especially over footie pajamas!
