Although I may jinx myself for saying this, I think the tantrums are subsiding, primarily because the talking is increasing. Rachel Claire is MUCH more likely to mimic words I say, and even say things on her own, almost sentences! Although we do have plenty of tantrums, including some as soon as she wakes up or as soon as we get in the door from Tina's....
Her two favorite words right now (besides Dora) are: Look! (which sounds like Uuut) and Wait! She's having a hard time with Ks and Ps turning in to Ts, like in Book (boot) and Map (mat). But I think she got book right today, so things are looking up. I think we could even discontinue the speech therapy sometime soon.
Ok, this cracked me up, these are cute little dogs that Rachel Claire got from Josie for Chrismas and Rachel Claire put them in Carson's crate! :-)
This was a trip to the White River Gardens to see the Train Exhibit....
....you can see that our primary activity is running and jumping on the second floor balcony....
.....what you can't see is that our secondary activity was riding the elevator so she could push the buttons, an activity that caused us to have to leave because that's all Rachel Claire wanted to do after a while....
Yes, she wanted to be outside, in a short sleeved shirt, crocs, no socks and it was about 50 degrees. Note to self, no need to buy Rachel Claire any more coats. If she's like this at 2, just imagine how she'll be at 15!
We did finally have a few minutes of watching the trains go by - choo choo!! It doesn't hurt that there's a Dora disc that's been in our DVD player for the past few weeks that has a train episode on it.
Ok, I don't know where she gets this but she's been covering her mouth when she laughs lately, which is really funny but kind of weird - can't figure out where she got that!
Mmmmmm, white chocolate covered pretzels from our neighborhood babysitter Becky!
