Flip Fest!

Rachel Claire and many of her gymnastics friends went to this awesome camp called FlipFest which is in Tennessee and is run by 2 Olympic gymnasts.  Sleep away camp that is 6 hours away!  Many of the Moms were worried but not me!  The camp has a Facebook page and a website where they post pictures of the kids during the week and one of the moms went and volunteered at camp so I know she would be in good hands.  They did 6 hours of gymnastics each day and also participated in other camp activities like boating, ropes course, a costume party and getting snacks from the canteen.  They also learned a little dance they put on for the parents on the last day.  Unfortunately Rachel Claire didn't get put in the same gymnastics group as her friends, so that made some things tricky for her.  When I first picked her up she said "this was the worst camp ever!" but since we've been watching the video from that week, she agrees it was kind of fun.  And, the Olympian there the week she was there was none other than Jordyn Wieber!!
