We had a great trip to visit the Smiley cousins in mid-October for Fall Break. Rachel Claire is always excited to see Aunt Rachel, Alex & Ella. Unfortunately, we didn't see much of Uncle Dave because he was at a conference. We stayed at a cool condo in the north loop with a slight river view! One day we went to the Field Museum and then to a playground next to Watertower (after an obligatory visit to the American Girl Doll Store). Unfortunately, Alex (and Rachel) had to go to the hospital during the night the 2nd night we were there because he had croup and could hardly breathe! So our trip ended a little pre-maturely, but we had a great time nonetheless!
