Our Adoptive Families Group, I-FACE, hosted a camp at Flatrock YMCA camp this summer and it was a blast!! We had about 10 families there and it seemed like everyone enjoyed themselves. We participated in several activities: horseback riding, swimming (brrr!!), arts & crafts, cold s'mores (due to the burn ban), and the amazing Alpine tower. The cabins were air conditioned and the food was tasty. We lucked out with some lovely weather in the middle of August during a summer that was generally hot and dry. We ended the weekend with an ice cream sundae bar, yumm! We are hopeful to do it again next year so stay tuned to the I-FACE Facebook page for more news.
