Rachel Claire takes a ballet class after her Chinese language class each Sunday afternoon at Carmel HS. It is just an hour a week but it is taught by a real ballet teacher who works at several ballet schools in town...Miss Kristin. The girls range in age from 5 or 6 through about 11 or 12...so a lot for Miss Kristin to keep focused. There are about 15 girls in the class. Rachel Claire really enjoys it and she often shows off her flexibility by doing the splits...they performed to the Nutcracker's Mother Ginger dance at the Chinese New Year event at North Central High School on February 6. Unfortunately it was right when Rachel Claire was sick but she felt better enough to perform at the show. Rachel Claire had a special little part at the end...and she did a great job! She loved having her hair in a bun with some flowers in it...had to practice that during the ice storm snow days!
