We got up "early" to go to the Olympic store...got there 15 minutes after it opened and had to wait half way around an entire city block in line to get in. It took about an hour to get in there but Rachel Claire was very patient...of course it didn't hurt that I was carrying her the whole time. It was a bit of a madhouse in there, but most people wanted to buy the Canada items, not so much the Olympic stuff that I was more interested in. Rachel Claire got a stuffed Miga and a snappy Miga vest that she wore the rest of the day. I got a sweatshirt and some souvenirs for some friends.
We headed to hockey after that....RC had a meltdown on the way there...and then a little girl in the hockey security line was mocking her and so that wasn't really a good start. The hockey game was Canada v. Sweden and it was a blowout in Canada's favor...which made for lots of opportunities to cheer and wave our Canadian flag.
Really uneventful day...stopped at a local bookstore which was run by an American who married a Canadian. Tried to get dinner out but there was no mac n' cheese to be found in Holly & Roger's neighborhood....I ended up with some yummy vegetarian Chinese food.
