Meanwhile, we've had a long weekend courtesy of Fall Break. I still need a bit more rest after my killer business trip to Dallas but the "to do" list always seems so long, and my kid seems to need quite a bit of attention. I haven't cultivated the playing by yourself skill as well as I might have liked (although television is a good one for that). On Friday we went to a trade photo shoot at Alias Imaging which was pretty cool. It was Rachel Claire's first long (2 hours) photo shoot and although it wasn't for anything specific, it was good to see how she did. Hopefully John the photographer would agree with me that she did pretty well. She warmed up after a bit and was quite a ham for the camera!
Still trying to figure out my nap strategy...I think RC needs a short (1 hr) nap on the weekends like she gets at school, but today I failed at getting her to take one. She and I napped together for an hour from 4 to 5 (after she was supposed to be napping in her room from 2:30 to 4) and then she napped on the couch from 5 to 6 and then woke up really grouchy and whiney. She's rallied now and is happily in the bathtub (although she's barely eaten all day....).
I did take some photos at the Children's Museum Haunted House trip with Inge and Elisabeth but I'm going to get them in here later this week with some of the other Halloween ones like the trip to the pumpkin patch coming up on Tuesday with school. The Princesses (Belle & Cinderella) were just adorable and got lots of comments...and also got lost for a scary moment. More news later!
