There are lots of photos here, almost our entire month of May. I didn't realize I hadn't downloaded these to the computer until after Mother's Day last weekend.
We had a great day at Josie's house with Josie & LeeLoo. You can see Rachel Claire in her aspiring rock-star/princess outfit. We had another good day last Saturday at the Children's Museum, digging for dinosaurs, checking out the Chihuly exhibit and riding the carousel, always a favorite.
There are some photos of a lovely mother's day outing at Shelly's house with family. Unfortunately it was raining out and all of the kids had to play inside all day!
Our final news of this post is about a trip we took to Columbus, Ohio on Friday. We went for a "look see" at a place that wanted to photograph Rachel Claire (for the Highlights catalog). It was an adventure as it was our first foray into the world of photo shoots and such. It seemed to go well and they asked her to come back for the real photo shoot next week. We got to have dinner with Uncle Chris and Aunt Wei and then we had to drive back to Indy.
It was kind of a long drive and Rachel Claire was wired (perhaps it was that mocha frappucino we had before the look see???). At around 9:45 she piped up, "I spy with my little eye something that is white." I was completely surprised as I had never heard her say anything like this and I did not know she knew how to play this game! We actually had a great time playing I spy for about 45 minutes. The only trick was that Rachel Claire was thinking of things that weren't actually in her eyesight, just things she could think of. But it was fun nonetheless!
It was one of those moments that made me realize she is growing up! And she did great at the look see for the photos shoot, after she got over being "shy and scared."
