Relationship ups and downs

So you know how when you are in an intense relationship with someone (your spouse for example) that your relationship has phases of times when things are going really well and other times when you get on each other's nerves? Well, that is kind of how things are for Rachel Claire and me. Right now things are going great! We are getting along well and RC is happy and cooperative, even when she's not sleeping too much. I am trying to enjoy every moment while things are groovy.

One of the things that Rachel Claire has been cooperative about is sending some of her old things (books, clothes, toys) to her cousins, Alex & Ella. I was worried that she would want to keep it all, even though she doesn't play with it or can't wear it anymore (usually I send it off when Rachel Claire is not around). But this past weekend, I was packing up a box of things to send to the Smiley twins and Rachel Claire was more than happy to send stuff to Alex and Ella. I was so happy about this, especially when I took her Dora shoes that light up (but are too small now) and put them in the Alex and Ella pile (they are actually probably going in the Goodwill pile).

So it has been my month to get shots...just got the last two today, whew. But Rachel Claire also had to get a flu shot when we went to see Dr. Molly in November. She heard us call it a flu shot, but she's been calling it a blue shot which is kind of funny! I told her I had gotten a shot and she asked if it was a green one! :-) Who knows where kids get these things!
