First, the aforementioned meltdowns...we haven't had any in a while and for a few days there we were having at least one big one per day....like: I don't want to leave downtown to go play in the park with Becca so I'm going to make it REALLY hard for you to put me back in the bike seat and get the helmet on me and then I'm going to wail at the top of my lungs for the entire 2 mile bike ride home from downtown. So of course she had to go to bed with no dessert and no books...which caused yet another meltdown, you get the picture.
And I have all kind of little notes here about cute and funny things Rachel Claire has been doing like:
-being ready to take a nap on weekends....after I tell her, its going to be naptime in a few minutes, she'll just come over to me and take my hand to go upstairs! of course this was before this past weekend when we had NO naps....but amazingly, RC did great with it.
-singing all kinds of songs, like the ABCs (current favorite), Twinkle Twinkle, Ring around the Rosey, Rock a Bye Baby, it is so cute to hear her!
-getting her 3 year molars with no pain - yay.
-some current favorite phrases are: Wheres so-and so (fill in any name here)? For me? For you? What are you doing? And inserting an extra "it" into sentences, for example: You have a sticker on it your arm Mommy? Another funny one is calling Amy, Jeff & Nick's temporary dog, whose name is Penelope, by her nickname for it: Elope, not like running off and getting married, but kind of like L-O-P, you kind of have to hear it to appreciate the humor in it.
-we took a walk in the stroller yesterday with Carson and while it was a bit of an ordeal to get the stoller out of the car while Carson was on the leash and wanting to get in the back of the car where the stroller lives, after we got started, both Carson and Rachel Claire did great! Carson walked nicely next to the stroller the whole time and Rachel Claire enjoyed the walk and wasn't complaining about wanting to go home or to the park.
Here are just a few candids of life around the house...
