Ayi

Well it has been a blog-filled weekend - yikes! Its scary when you've spent almost an entire day on your blog, both posting and jazzing it up (which I've been wanting to do for a while now). Now I just need to work on the header and maybe a few more links and I'll be done for a while....any and all suggestions are welcome, hopefully I'll be able to think of some new polls every now and again.

Meanwhile, one funny thing that Rachel Claire has been doing lately is exclaiming how wrinkly she is when she gets out of the bathtup. "My hands are all wrinkly! And toes too!" All the way up the stairs to the bedroom for jammies, looking at every one of her hands and feet - twisting and turning while I am trying to carry her. That was before she learned that when she walks up to the bedroom, she can run away and say: "You can't get me!" In an effort to prolong bedtime...

She's also been talking about her Grandma and Ayi a lot this week. Ayi and Grandpa came to visit last week and RC had a great time with them. Rachel Claire definitely loves having an adult all to herself who treats her like a queen! And she's looking forward to seeing Grandma and Grandma Carol this weekend.

Speaking of weekends, it has truly been a great one (even though the weather has not been the greatest). Rachel Claire and I have had some great times together and relatively few disagreements - even when she has been tired, which she has been all day today....that's what waking up at 5:30 will do for you, in case you didn't know!

Today we went to Holliday Park with Abby and Cole - who is a climber and will be 3 in July. So of course, in the day of monkey see, monkey do, Rachel Claire wanted to do everything Cole did, including climbing the really tall climbing wall. Luckily she was successful at all of her endeavors today! There are also some photos here of RC's newest love - painting. And, she was somewhat succesful in riding the trike today, she must have grown a bit since Christmas. We were hanging out with our neighbor Lucy who is equally height challenged - although truth be told, she just turned 2 in March! Rachel Claire was a trooper about sharing and helping! I love that. :-)

In the rest of my life, I am having job search burn out....ugh. Need to get revved back up. Still no news about the job I want the most in the world - Ice Miller. We'll keep our fingers crossed! Have a great week!

Lucy is stylin' in her squeaky shoes from China which finally fit!

Playing the drum on a bin of popcorn - in her jammies of course, which she never wants to get out of in the morning....dirty diaper and all

Yes, Rachel Claire climbed up this rock wall - with me helping a bit, no fear at all!

What, me worry?
